Россия и ВТО. Доклад г-жи Шерил Фернандес (США)22 марта в 17-30 в Нижегородском государственном лингвистическом университете состоится лекция представителя Экономического отдела посольства США в РФ госпожи Шерил Фернандес (Cheryl Fernandes). В своем докладе (на английском языке) Шерил Фернандес раскроет точку зрения США на проблемы, препятствующие вхождению России в ВТО. Приглашаются все желающие.
Лекция состоится 22 марта в 17-30 в конференц-зале НГЛУ (ауд. 3217, 3 учебный корпус)

Cheryl Fernandes is the Senior Trade Officer in the Economic Section of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow. Her work focuses on the U.S.-Russia bilateral trade relationship and, in particular, on negotiations for Russia’s membership in the World Trade Organization. Ms. Fernandes joined the Foreign Service in 1997 and has served as the Deputy Director for Southern Cone Affairs in the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office of the Americas, Commercial Officer in the Office of Multilateral and Sectoral Trade at the Department of State, Political/Consular Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Almaty, Kazakstan, and Consular Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Ms. Fernandes worked in international program management at the U.S. Geological Survey from 1991 to 1997. She managed international exchange programs within the Office of Earthquakes and Volcanoes and participated in interagency policy discussions on natural disaster reduction.
Ms. Fernandes earned a Bachelor’s degree in Russian language and area studies at James Madison University and a Master’s degree in International Commercial Policy from George Mason University. In addition, she studied Russian language at the Moscow Pushkin Institute in summer 1988 and the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in fall 1989. She is fluent in Russian and Spanish.
